Elevator Stories, The Norwegian Competence Report

The Norwegian Competence Report wanted to make a publication that was comprised of stories rather than facts and something ‘that could be told by someone in an elevator’, to accompany their reports. We proposed to print these stories in a newspaper format. All the stories were laid out on one broadsheet page. Every text page contains one story, and in addition some words from the other stories are being shown, based on a series of systems. This was partly done to visualize the structure in the texts and partly to relate to the theme of the Competence Report. The texts were accompanied by a photo series of people in an elevator trying to avoid communication.
