‘A User’s Guide to Tallinn’ differs from the usual tourist guides in that it is designed for people wanting to explore and use the city, rather than browse sights in the old town. There are sections about architecture, history, art, street life and nightlife and such parts as an overview of surveillance cameras in the city centre and a transcript from a guided tour for American cruise ship tourists. The book also functions as a visual reader and includes all the images that were collected during the research.
