LIAF (Lofoten International Art Festival) is currently Norway’s only international art festival, and the one with the longest running history, dating back to 1991.

One key aspect that makes LIAF different from any other art festival is its geographical placement in Lofoten. It is located in northern Norway, a place well known for its natural beauty, and is above the Arctic Circle. This helps to attract participating artists as well as an international audience.

We used the geographical coordinates of Lofoten – 68°N 14°E – as the basis for the visual identity. These coordinates dictate the position of the logo relative to the format of the page or browser window.
